The Spring Fling contest has been judged! We had a fantastic response with a large number of wonderful pictures. The winning pictures have been moved together so they can be found easily, and the entire display will remain in place until Friday. If you haven’t yet seen them, do drop by Roo for a look!

The judging parameters were for pictures that best showcased meeroos and the spring theme, regardless of the use of apps such as Photoshop.

CONTEST RULES:

3. Picture must include at least one Meeroo.

I have, in the past dutifully dedicated myself to the categorization and classification of the unique creature known as the Meeroo. Despite all of my research and seemingly endless wondering at the multitude of variety present within this species, never did I expect a discovery the likes of which I discuss in this report.

Recently, a spelunker in south america recounted this experience deep inside a cenote:

We're having to migrate our servers onto new hardware which our ISP tells me will provide for a more stable environment in the future. All this *should* happen seamlessly with no visible effects to your Meeroos. However, in the event you start seeing a rash of 500 server errors, just stop interacting with your pets until the errors clear up. Any nests created during an outage should self-correct when service is restored if you just leave them be and don't touch them/pick them up.

Strangely enough, the researchers from the preservation society that took our recent Nocturnal Meeroo photograph captured something unique and quite bizarre in the background! Some of you noticed? We sure did, and are correlating some information for you to consider as we investigate this anomaly.

I hope you are having a good weekend, Meeroo carers! The wheels are spinning at full speed here with us. You've waited a long time for this and I am genuinely proud to tell you that everything you are about to experience with this expansion has been worth the wait...

ps. Some have speculated on the Nocturnal teaser. Yes, of course the scene was photoshopped overall, but that was a picture of an actual Nocturnal superimposed in his hole.
