V2.0 Script Update FAQ

Tiger's picture

I'm sure there will be tons of questions about the update just released, so I will try to maintain a FAQ here and update as more questions arrive. (Read more)

Q: Does this mean Nocturnals are coming? A: This script update is indeed part of the work needed to bring out the Nocs, but no, we haven't announced pre-orders for Nocs yet.

Q: Is this update mandatory? A: Yes, although there is not currently a deadline set, there will be eventually.

Q: My homes updated instantly, but my Roos didn't. How come? A: That is on purpose to help spread the traffic out on our backend servers over the next few days. Your Roos will update randomly, but don't worry everything should still function properly before, during, and after they've updated.

Q: I got an Error: 499,500,XXX reaching Meeroo Database. A: You should just be able to REBUILD that meeroo at a later time to fix it. If it doesn't respond to REBUILD, please file a ticket.

Q: Will my XXXXX still work? Yes. A: Everything is fully backwards compatible with V1.0 meeroos, food, homes, nests, meepets, costumes, Primbie, and accessories. While we don't anticipate any problems with 3rd party products - we can't vouch for them either.

Q: Is there an update to food? A: There is new V2.0 food, but just keep letting your roos eat up your existing V1.0 food until its gone and you can buy the newer food as needed.

Q: Will these updaters work on kind of home? They look like stumps. A: Yes, any home you purchased/acquired from Malevay Studios will be updated. Holidays homes, beta gifts, you name it.

Q: Does this update cover nests? A: It does not cover existing nests. Those nests will still function as before. Any time an updated father drops a nest it will be the new updated nest. Oh and don't worry, if you coax a V1.0 nest around a V2.0 home, the baby will automatically be a V2.0 roo.

Q: What about my Primbie? A: You will need to re-rezz your Primbie for it to find the updated homes. Primbie has a pending update very shortly to address any remaining issues with it.

Q: What if I have too many or too few updaters? A: If you have too many, simply delete the extras when you've updated all your existing homes. If you have any holiday or themed homes in your inventory, go ahead and rez them out now and update those as well. If you don't have enough updaters, you can always grab more off the marketplace.
