Before closed beta it was told to us that regard unlocks things in relation to breeding that we wouldn't otherwise have.

Now I can see the writing on the wall and the backtracking begin, all of a suddden it is only to be able to purchase certian items from the store and it unlocking special things in regards to breeding has been all but erased from the website (I looked)

This disappoints me greatly. As of now I just pretty much lost interest in the whole regard system - extra stuff to buy? Ok, yeah, great I guess. I earn the ability by working my fanny off for the opportunity to pay you more of my money?

You are going to have those that can't or won't spend more than an hour a day on SL and they are going to scream and clamor to have what everyone else has, sure as the sun will rise. You aren't responsible for those people and the activities they choose to or not to do. Why should others of us who use this as one of their main forms of entertainment and take the time be penalized because someone else is too busy by choice or circumstance to put the time in properly. In fact that just keeps these more under control and not overpopulating the grid. Don't get greedy like other breedables have and which has been their downfall ultimately.

This is life and life is not fair. You don't get a real college degree without going to college just because you didn't or couldn't go no matter how hard you scream or holler. Theres lots of things in life we want but can't have or are unwilling to make the sacrifices for...so we don't have them and we learn to live with it or not, doesn't matter either way the result is the same. The regards idea was a great idea. Kept an interest, established valuable goals to work towards that keep people going.

This is in effect pretty much like horse haven or bunnybury, get the points and buy stuff from the vendor. In fact those others are easier, you don't have to answer questions or pay attention and pet animals frequently, all you have to do is send those you havn't a use for away...one simple click. That never held much of an interest for me and many others. This just pretty much effectively guts the regard system.

The regards thing in relation to breeding is part of what brought me to meeroo's and I wonder how many others. It was a whole different thing from other breedables.This was a reward for all the hard work some of us put into our breedables and thus the company that other breedables didn't recognize or offer...was....

It's disappointing to say the least, but hey maybe it's just me and no one else feels this way....
