On behalf of the Malevay Studios we'd like to thank you for your participation in the forums for the last year plus since the start of our adventure together. We've always been proud of the community that has gathered around the Meeroos; and that pride, the community spirit and our support of the community will not change. However, we've decided as a whole (owners, staff, and CSRs) to close the Forums for the Wonderful World of Meeroos.
What started out as a way for the community to share information, experiences, stories, and to give constructive feedback and criticisms so that we might grow as a whole, has become increasingly negative over the last months. Not only has the time spent keeping inflammatory posts monitored, clearing random spam, and managing the forums overall become a detriment to our staff, but we've received several complaints from the rest of the community that the negativity is too rampant, and some feel that positive replies or those posting against inflammatory remarks come under attack. So much so that the minority creating such negative feedback and feelings have turned away the majority of our community from using the forums. Rather than let it continue to foster bad feelings within our great community and be misused, we're shutting the forums down. It's regrettable that it's come to this, but as a company we refused to have the negativity of a few ruin the experience for the rest of our community, who've proven to be loyal and good-hearted.
For those that have been a positive influence in the WWoM Forums over the last months, we thank you for your time, efforts, patience and input. A lot of the growth and changes we've done with the Meeroos have come from the community feed-back and Positive Criticisms we've received from you. You'll be seeing more of those changes in the near future as we get ready for the Nocturnals and other great adventures and updates as our Story continues. We will still be using the WWoM Blog area to keep you apprised of upcoming events, information, changes and so-on. In addition, there will be a “Suggestion Box” posted on the Roo Sim for those with constructive ideas and/or criticisms that would help us improve your experience within the Meeroo Story. Notecards dropped in that box will be reviewed by staff and passed on to the creative team as needed.
Again, we thank you all for your support of and participation in the BEST breedables community in all of Second Life. As stated before, our support and commitment to you is unchanged, and we look forward to moving forward through this amazing Story with you as more developments unfold.
Sincerely,
The WWoM Staff
