Question - will genetics ever be explained?

Few days ago we got the new coat Sunfire. I have no idea how I can try to make one other than getting lucky. Same with long down ears. I have theory the LDE gene is carried on fluff and chest somehow, but here again I don’t know enough of how genetics work to try to make one.

I know it was said the game would be boring if we knew how to make things, but now I’m thinking it may be opposite. If I knew how things worked, I’d then have a reason to breed and experiment. I tried for about 8 weeks to make a snowpaw with fluff and chest and failed. I put fluffs with snowpaws in everyway possible and never got the trait to pass to the snowpaw. I was obviously doing something wrong.

So will genetics ever be explained so I would know how I could get or try to make or combine things?
