My final feedback

"How was your dining experience Dear Patron?"

I released all of my roos today. I've been in assorted breedables for years (and am still breeding AND keeping as pets) as I simply love them. As far as activities in SL goes - the breedables are my passion and I adore every little toe no matter what the species I've chosen. I spend way, wayyyyy too much money on this hobby of mine, lol. It pained me *greatly* to release my roos. I didn't get to pre-order so had to grab my chests when they were officially released. I was so excited! I remained excited for quite awhile... but these last months... meh. I knew my roos were in peril when I didn't buy the spring paint kits and homes - I found myself standing in front of the vendors admiring and longing for, but unable to justify spending more $$ with a company I've lost trust in.

So MS, I'm leaving some "Exit" feedback on your product. Here are things that kept me in meeroos:

1) They're adorable, well-textured, interactive... the chirping and asking for snuggles is a heart-melter. Scripts are lower compared to other breedables, and the genetics were interesting. Excellent job here. The newest teaser picture of the Noc is really cool - it looks absolutely incredible. My hat, as always, is off to the artists... I'm in awe of their talent.

2) Customer service when I had an issue was always prompt and professional. High marks here as well.

3) Your fellowship idea was great and I really enjoyed getting to know and becoming friends with people I'd not already met in other breedables. There are a few that I miss bunches regarding day to day roo stuff - they left this breedable long before me and were a wealth of information.

The things that finally made me pack up my stumps and Primbie after a long weekend of relaxing and some careful thought:

1) Follow through needs vast improvement on your part. You promised and teased with many things (pedigree system, updated web site, weeme, meaningful regard and the regard store, etc...), almost a year later and none of these have come to light.

2) There was to be lore, puzzles, games, "magic"... unlike any other breedable. This was a big pull to roos for me. Any and all of this stopped months ago. Nothing at all now. Older breedable companies still manage to mix in things like ongoing community meetings, hunts, special occasion gifts, asking for and where they can, implementing ideas. There is a sense of community that the creators work tirelessly to keep fostered. We customers feel at least a little appreciated as we fork over our money.

3) There were no "perks" to be had with releasing nests and lives. The accumulation of regard wasn't applied to anything, except a possible slim chance of an edge during a breeding and board bragging rights. Other companies have turn in programs for special items and discounts. The very few, never-changing items in the regard store still cost a pretty penny... they never felt like a reward; didn't feel like there were any goals to work towards.

4) Communication. Your lack of it... is a major fail for me. The long periods of time when not a peep is heard from the company. I can't stress this enough, and is the biggest reason I'll no longer support your product, or return to it. Such apathy and disinterest in your customers truly shocks me, and I tried to hang in hoping you'd "pull yourself together" in time. It's not happened and I'm even kind of embarrassed that I waited around this long while continuing to spend $$. Being optimistic is really irritating sometimes. On the plus side - after having experienced the way your company handles PR and communication - it's made me much more appreciative of the effort put out by the others.

5) The list of concerns gathered under Yukio's forum thread that have gone entirely unaddressed... and these concerns, ideas, and suggestions were languishing for quite awhile before even being fashioned into some official listing. Again, not even the courtesy of a reply, any reply.

Further comments: It was never about the Nocs for me. I was content to tinker with Chapter 1 and I know best laid plans go awry. I've been in breedables long enough to know, expect, and accept that snags happen, especially concerning a major release. Of course I was looking forward to the expansion - who wasn't? But the absence above of all the other things effectively snuffed out my interest in the Nocs, not the delay of them. I've stated this often enough in and out of world.

I *loved* the roos. I'm quite sad that my time with them is at an end, even with the bad taste this company has left in my mouth. I really, REALLY wanted to be with them for the long haul. I do hope for others remaining in roos that the above things are cleaned up, a new leaf turned, etc. However if asked my opinion on roos by any new potential player... I'll not encourage them to spend money with with your company. In good conscious, I just can't.

I'll keep peeking into Flickr now and then to see if anyone's posted a picture of a lde, lm, st carnation Dynasty. It's the one I really wanted and will probably always remain wistful about not breeding out or finding. :-)

I did get a few things out of the gatcha machine to keep as trinket souvenirs!
