Not sure at this point if anyone behind the scenes is still listening- it's been a long time since we've heard a peep. But I meepetted one roo, after months of putting it off, and I have to admit, after the fact, i wish I hadn't. No, he doesn't cost me one roo's worth of food anymore, but he doesn't dig for things anymore either. I don't really care about the regard- here's my idea: Meepets dig up zero-regard items, (the same items, but with a zero-point value,) or even custom zero-value items. When my roos dig stuff up, it seems like they're having fun, and communicating with me. Now my poor Podo's reguard isn't maxxed out anymore.. it reads Zero, which too, makes me feel sad for him. It's not like I made him an honored eternal guest, more like I took him out and had him stuffed. No more meepetting of my roos, thanks. :( I'll just pay for their food, and let them enjoy their old age with dignity.
