I think breedable people are an interesting, creative bunch.
We *love* the work, the researching, the creativity, the surprises, the "something to do in SL" that doesn't revolve entirely around clubs and shopping and standing around. I think breedable people really enjoy *busy* work. At any given time you will find us out tending our animals.. knee deep in them, lost in thought, probably in IMs with other breeder friends, we have note cards and spread sheets open, and maybe one eye on group chat and chat advertisements while we tinker. Lots of us joke about never leaving our parcels due to our breedables... yet it probably isn't too far off the mark, lol. Wait - auctions and markets do get us out and about. ;-)
It's not a passing fluke or novelty to us. Many, many of us have been in other breedables. Lots of us now have years of breedable history under our belts and still we'll sign on to a new one - even knowing the headaches and the money that can be involved..."again".
The point is - we are dedicated breeders. We're here after the first wave/frenzy over new fades away. We're here after the market softens and other people pull up stakes because money started coming from their own pockets. We provide feedback, we are keenly interested in company plans, we continue to spend $$ because we want to support a company who supports our passion. We really do!!
We want you to care.
We want you to get excited with us. To be excited about your product.
We want you to TALK to us and WITH us.
We can forgive mistakes and endure growing pains and hang in there beyond belief if you work with us.
We will raise our concerns before we just dump things and walk away. You might not like what we say, but please be assured that most everything comes from the heart - because we really want you to do well. Even when it seems like it's becoming too frustrating to continue - most of us STILL inch our way away, trying to keep one foot in the door because we don't want to go, and hope for a last minute "stay" by the company responding or coming up with something entirely exciting. We're a very optimistic lot!
We want you to succeed because your success insures that we can happily continue creating and being artistic in our own visions of what makes the perfect flavor of pixel. We are very proud of our work and find this an enjoyable way to spend our SL time.
Please... don't be apathetic with us. We're bright, enthusiastic, and thoughtful people. IMO, the appearance of apathy from a company really is the kiss of death. If we feel that you don't care - we will lose our interest as well. Talk to us. You don't have to have everything completed, have all the answers. But you know a lot more than we do, and we want to feel like we're still valued by the company and that you WANT to keep our business. Keeping us is a hell of a lot easier than enticing us back.
Simply my thoughts on a cold, drab Tuesday morning.
