I bought a petter battery. I said I never would...So I wanted to be honest about it!

There was only one reason. I had bought a mate for a nile sue boy I have, as a sort of fallback mate, though she was younger and not in season yet, and so I kind of forgot about it. I set about getting him other mates but both fell through, before they got out of the gate.

So, I've been buying lives here and there, when I can find a bargain one; and filling out the stumps with them, so the other roos have mates. And I've been sick and so not in world long at all, except once in a while to catch up on the long "to do" list that builds up while I'm away. I have other things to take care of while in SL not only meeroos.

And so I hadn't been petting any roos at all. The ones in the sky also do not get pets from passing visitors because as yet I haven't found a teleporter that matches my beach decor. Supposedly someone was building for me, then they never did. Apparently friends haven't been up there in a little while either, maybe have the same bug I got. Anyway...

I hadn't noticed that this girl roo, who I had bought at age 2 or so, hadn't been petted past uncomfortable yet! (I call that bad salesmanship, but I know it's my job to notice.) And I was wondering why they hadn't had a nest yet. He's now nearly 7 and she's nearly 5...and I saw he's in season peak and she's in season fall. And no nest. What? I checked - both in fellowship, both in land group. So what's the problem?

And then I saw her regard is very low. ARGH! Nooo! There was only one thing to do. I pet her, and then ran to Roo and dropped the biggest battery on her pen. I'm still wavering back to heatlh there is no way I can sit on my desk and every hour for a day pet her.

So I just wanted to say that because of this 'emergency' - it was too much invested to waste their season and mess up their mate times for all future nests - I had to do it. But I do not plan to ever do this again unless I similarly for reasons partly not my fault, wind up with another mess on my hands. In this case I bit the bullet, and did the practical thing. But it's too expensive to do it daily. For emergency only - like the fire alarm says.

So I wanted to give this feedback too, since I can't use the 'other petter' or be banned, I did this one, and I can admit when I've messed up. So I am. =) I have to say though, handy as it is? I can only do this once in a blue moon...in general they do fine without pets.
