Hello my wonderful Meeroo family
The past few days have been a very trying time, but it has also given me an insight into just how increible and utterly amazing this community is.
For six years I have known and been friends with Mehgan Southmoor. Many of you will remember her as one of the amazing CSRs that worked for the meeroos. She was kind to all of us, with a quirky sense of humor, generous, always willing to go the extra mile for us
In real life, she is as much loved as she is here. Her husband , on wednesday evening at 6:15 pm est, was hit by a vehicle while riding his motorcycle. He was on his way to assist a friend who had been in a vehicle accident the day before. Their daughter saw her father, laying on the ground right after the accident.
Randy is in icu, in a medically induced coma. His neck is broken, a fractured skull, jaw, cheekbones, nose, oribital bones all broken in his face, he has multiple fractures and breaks in the ribs, both lungs are collapsed, and he has a lot of internal bleeding. He is on life support as we speak. He was not expected to make it through the evening and still today, the doctors are not giving her hope.
I have come to realize that this community is unlike any other that i have witnessed. An outpouring of support has come her way. Differences have been set aside to help Mehgan and her family in this time of need. A patron auction has been set up, you can im myself for details of it please, and donations of nests and lindens have been coming in. All of it will be documented and sent to Meghan, who i speak with a number of times a day. If anyone would like to donate anything for the auction, or for the nest sale on Twas, please don't hesitate to im .
All Mehgan has asked for is your support and prayers please as her husband battles for his life. I am asking please that we come together and support her. If you feel you can, please write a notecard of your prayers, send your thoughts. you can send them to myself and i will each night, give them to her or read them to her.
I am so very grateful for each and every one of you. I hold all of you in my thoughts as I do Mehgan.
Allison
