Rider's post about taking our roos trick or treating made me think of this.

How about a pumpkin or trick or treat bag, and the live meeroo fits in it, similar to the backpack?

Except, this time, we carry the bag or hollow plastic pumpkin (for candy, it has a black handle to carry it) in our hand, with the meeroo riding inside it!

I tried to describe this for people who do not have Halloween. Typically the child who is trick or treating carries a plastic bag with halloween theme on it, or, a hollow plastic pumpkin with a black handle. The person in the house puts the treats in those things after the child rings the doorbell. =)
