So, I've started backbreeding a few roos. Just a couple lines whose parents produced some surprises. Oddly enough, the grandkids and the cousins so far haven't produced anything eyepopping or even surprising - just the typical autumns and reds at best.
Right now across the board, it's probably 2 OS nests per backbred roo. I'm wondering if if they need to breed longer or if sometimes the backbred roos just don't always produce something good. I'm getting anxious as the original parents will be elderly in 2 more nests. I'm on my 2nd land spot and already out of prims, so coaxing more grandkids (should anyone say I may need to backbreed a different grandkid) may not be possible without purchasing a 3rd land lot.
