ok, so I bought the legal auto petter 2 actually. I have 4 groups I'm trying to keep separated for trait purposes. If I move 2 homes close enough together for the auto petter to reach 2 homes the roos switch off to the other home and interbreed where I don't want them to. If I take one group out of the fellowship so they don't interbreed the autofeeder won't feed the group out of the fellowship. My point here is 10m doesn't work! Buying 4 petters for each group is going to run into alot of money and I just have 4 groups. I sincerely feel bad for large breeders who have more then 4 groups to accomodate. The range on these needs to be increased to 20 or 30 imho. We shouldn't have to buy petters for each individual group we're trying to pull traits from. The only alternative is put them all on one home and let them breed willy nilly and who knows what you get then. A free for all doesn't allow for narrowing traits :S
