What steps are being taken by Malevay to eliminate the "glitch" of sim "rollbacks" that are creating duplicate nests?

Recently I purchased an offspring nest for 1000L. I had been looking for this EXACT type of nest, at a reasonable price, for weeks. I was happy to have found it.

Anyway, I took the nest home and coaxed it without any issues. The following day, I went back to the place where I purchased the nest, and found a nest with the SAME ID# still for sale there, in the SAME exact spot.

I did what I thought was best, which is contact the seller and file a support ticket on this site. I was contacted immediately by a CSR, who I showed where this duplicate nest was located (along with another duplicate nest that I had purchased the previous day), and I was told it would be taken care of. The seller also contacted me later and said that they were looking into it.

So today, I notice that the roo I coaxed from that nest was no longer showing on my stats page on this website. I tried to "rebuild" him, thinking it may just be a small database glitch, but received an error message. So I once again reopened my previous ticket, basically asking if there was still an issue here.

After taking care of some RL things, I came back online to a Snowpaw nest that this roo birthed last night. Obviously, I was ecstatic. It's the best coat I have been able to breed out up to this point. That's always a great feeling.

However, I also received a response to my ticket saying that, yes, there was still an issue here. The roo that I coaxed still was not showing up on my stats page, and the Snowpaw nest is not showing up on my spreadsheets.

What does this mean? I really don't know. It may not end up being an issue at all for me. It may be something that is easily fixable. Or....it may be something that causes me to lose both the roo I coaxed from the nest I purchased, and the Snowpaw nest that it gave birth to. Obviously, that would be heartbreaking, and it's not something that I should have to endure. Nor is it something that someone else should have to endure if they happened to purchase a duplicate nest.

I know we all take our chances when we buy nests, but this "rollback" glitch is not something that we can protect ourselves from, other than to never purchase any new nests or roos. Simply put, that's not a realistic expectation for Malevay to have of their breeding community.

It doesn't matter to me whether that main fault lies with Linden Lab and their servers, or if the main fault lies with Malevay and their program. The bottomline is that this is causing serious grief for some of us in the community, not to mention costing some of us real life dollars. Not only real life dollars on the nests and roos we purchase, but also on the food it takes to raise them.

This isn't meant to be a rant and, as I stated earlier in this post, there may not end up being any real issue for me in this instance. But that doesn't change the fact that SOMETHING is seriously amiss here, and it needs to fixed. I am not the only one on the grid dealing with this stuff, far from it.

So the question is: What steps is Malevay taking to alleviate this problem that could potentially have far reaching repurcussions?
