Well, finally I have made my way into what I consider "rare" meeroo coats.
Can happily say I've finally bred out my own cinder and notched ears from scratch... Its been a bumpy ride... But I am happy with what I produced so far.
I havent been one to buy the rare roo's to try to catch up.. But since things are a bit slow for the secondary market I was able to land two kois and an emp for a great price.
The problem I feel I've ran into is... Is it too late for me to catch up to be able to have some fun and catch up to the new coats? I feel that after the "Chest lotto" Things got a bit out of hand and sped the game up way too fast for anyone that doesn't buy a few of the newest traits.
Just makes me wonder where the traits would be at right now if none of that happened and how the secondary market would look.
Either way, I'm happy that I was able to make a sue/st roo on my own and so forth - But I feel kind of stuck.
My main concern and question is - Can I catch up having koi/emp's with good genes.. Is it possible for small time breeders such as myself to breed out those nice traits before the prices pummel? Or am I always going to be a few steps behind?
I really would like some advice on what to do :]
Sylvana has been a major help and I treasure her advice for sure - I Personally want to thank her here for every piece of information she's shared with me.
Secondly, when the new traits in oct/nov come out will things start to balance out since the new coats wont be in starter packs, or will they be poppin out like candy because everyone already has the latest and greatest thats going to go ahead and make those coats?
I'm ready to see that step and see if the game slows down to a good steady pace so we can all have a chance together.
I would love any advice on what myself and small time breeders should do when we're a bit at a standstill and feel a few feet behind the curve.
Thanks :]
