Auto-petters and their various petting forms

My questions (some hypothisized, some not):

1. How is this going to be regulated - if someone is away from SL (I know of an enormous amount of people who don't log on during the weekend because of work/family obligations, etc.) who may come back the middle of next week or even the week after and find themselves banned because they have an auto-petter. A 48 hour notice is a little ... short? Most changes in TOS/EULA - especially those with a financial implication - have an implementation date set some distance in the future. Do they get 4 chances? 5? Ticket much? That being said and because of that, will the EULA require a certain minimum commitment on the part of the customer of meeroos as to when, at what intervals and how long a time they must be logged into in SL and conversely, the requirement if you own meeroos that you must read the website/blog at certain intervals - be plainly spelled out? I'm assuming this is the case, since there has been one notice provided in world which simply pointed to the website? (Group notices notoriously fail given the architecture of groups and the SL infrastructure... so see question 4 below).

2. Similarly, if someone is in some manner of travel status and logs into SL on another device (phone, ipad, etc.. that lets them communicate but not manipulate objects in world) will they be banned as well because ostensibly they have read the notice (which has not gone out inworld). (reading back, that's similar to question 1)

3. If the new script can track someone's interaction with their roos and triggers a security "over petting" warning - what is the maximum that they are allowed to pet? 10 times a day, 16 times a day, 2?

4. After the EULA kicks in on Monday (see above) will there be a grace period to disseminate information or is this a once chance deal with customers.. SOL in SL? Specifically how are all of the communications to be dealt with between company and client/customer? Email in SL must be turned on? Group notices must be checked in order to be received? What requirements are you mandating to own meeroos that the company feels have or have not yet been met by its customers so that a 'no fault' state can be achieved (in other words, to mitigate claims of: "You should have read this two weeks ago you nitwit"?).

5. If my 'autopetter' (the two legged, has tits variety and is known as 'friend') pets my roos a few minutes after I pet my roos, does this trigger the security script and will it cause banning? Same question repeated for assorted fellowship members? If my 'backup autopetter' (the two legged, has other tripodish attachments and has a status possibly higher then friend, depending on whether or not he left the toilet seat up) pets my roos 59 minutes after I pet my roos (in an attempt to redeem himself from leaving said toilet seat up at 3 am in the morning) will that trigger the security script and will it cause a banning?

6. What is "too much" petting as opposed to "not enough petting" at one time (similar to 3 above). Eg. If I choose to pet my 100 roos when they are snoring in a pile around a single food bowl by clicking on their noses.. will that trigger the security (yes, it's a repetitive action and I do in fact have it memorized about how fast I click then click again.. I'm smart that way once I do it 6000 or 7000 times). If tracking is looking for "disparities" will randomness be penalized? If I randomly pet those meeroos I like better or not or only the two roos I may happen to have, once a week and then go nuts on a sunday.. will the disparity in petting be tracked and what will constitue "auto" petting or not?

8. If I (please remember that the use of the word "I" in this entire thread is being used in the rhetorical royal hypothetical sense) am of the type of individual that claims disability of some sort, and set my autopetter out once a day and then delete it, will that track or trigger as opposed to a mass fellowship effort party - pet and move, pet and move collaborative effort?

9. If I (royal! hypothetical!) have autopetters set out on other peoples' lands or alts who have them set out on my land and they pet, whose roos get penalized? The owner of the autopetter or the recipient of the autopetting? If an individual account with no roos, creates or uses an autopetter and breaks the EULA. Who is at fault? What if said autopetter is used as a griefing tool.. and an individual is target by having one set out on land where rezzing occurs, banlines taken down and access is set to all (a requirement by CSRs to return lost roos).

10. If the auto-treasure finders ruined the game as well - will there be an announcement that they too will be illegal at some point in the future? How long will the 'grace' period be before the retraction of imunity (the we will not blame you for using... statement) occurs? Will there be a requirement of how much treasure one is suppposed to collect so that a benchmark of accumulated regard be established that would eventually be retracted set? I'm just curious, since I've observed that not everyone uses auto-petters in the exact same fashion but will receive the same blanket penalty for use, so I'm assuming it might be similar for treasures?)

11. Could you please provide more specifics and detailed instructions of 'how you are to play' this game since one camps definition of cheating differs greatly from another camps but both sides seem to have sway with MS and their actions.

DISCLAIMER: These are simply questions that came to mind after reading the blog entry, and despite my glib and conversationally colloquial use of language on occasion, are not intended to threaten, berate, or imply anything negative that would cause MS's feelings or their responder's feelings to be hurt or feel intimidated in any way. If by asking these questions (and they are simply questions and do not indicate action or implicit action on my part) I am to be labeled a detractor, hater, bad breeder, 'malicious user', or any other derrogatory term used by either party to further their case or argument, with the exception of the words "customer" and "player", then they are retracted immediately! Just because I'm asking questions, doesn't imply guilt folks!

E.&O.E.

Thank you.
