Hurricane Irene is getting set to batter the Eastern Coast of the US and while I and millions of other people are getting everything ready to ride out this weather, I cannot help but wonder about some things in Second Life. So I have a couple questions that I hope will be answered before I am smashed by the storm. :)
A- The first thing that comes to mind is Meeroo food. I doubt that with all the preparations in the real world that every Meeroo owner/breeder who lives on the East Coast will remember to buy enough food for their virtual animals to guard against starvation in case of power/internet outages. So my question is this- Will there be anything in place to help those who had Meeroo runaway because they couldn't get online for an extended period?
B- The release of the limited edition Meeroo is set for sometime around Monday, by then the hurricane will (hopefully) have left land and drifted out to sea. However, millions of people are facing the possibility of being left without electricity/internet for this release. My question is- Will those who are unfortunate enough to be caught in this storm basically be out of luck for the limited edition release, thus forced to either do without or pay outrageous amounts of lindens to get these lovely new additions from others or do you have any plans in place to give us a chance too?
I hope I have electricity and internet both by the time the hurricane leaves my area, but as you know the weather is uncontrollable and not everyone can just pack up and head somewhere safer in times like this. I hope I am not just "SOL" when it comes to the LE release, and I hope that more people remember food for their Meeroo than not.
Thanks for reading this and thank you in advance if you answer (even if I don't get the answer in time, thank you). :)
