Has anyone figured out how the meeroos pass their short tail/short ear – as to who passes what?
Does the female pass the tail better or the ears better? Does the male pass the tail better or the ears better?
I’m trying to breed a double short and have about 4 short tail males and 2 short ear females and 2 short ear males. Given that they are not related and are the same personalities, what would be the best way to breed these?
I know I’m probably not going to get a double short right away (dream on – lol) but just wanted to know if this is the way to go – or if someone has successfully found a way to do it. And if you don't get the double right away - do you then breed the new nests with a trait with the opposite trait?
(example - I have a short tail male - paired with a short ear female - they give me a short tail male.
And I have another short tail male paired with a short ear female - and they give me a short ear female.
Should I now pair the new short tail male and short ear female?
And what happens if they don't pass either traits to the new nests - do you try to breed those with??? - complicated - but am having fun trying to see what can happen! :-)
Any suggestions, hints, tips would be great! Thank you!
