We need a clarification on the statement by tiger:

"....if it were me, i would buy any existing nest over a new starter pack from our store. the lower the ID number the better because we've reduced the amount of rares popping out of starters several times since release. to be clear, this chance is now 0%"

Is this in reference to the starter chests now giving 0% chance of coats and traits and AND/OR the nests that come out of them? I understand the chests no longer giving out but are we to assume that the nests themselves are no longer capable of giving out rare coat and or traits as well?

This is rather important as now people are shying away from ALL 'Starter nests' (those with Levio and Dawnara as parents), also known as Gen 2 nests. Are the low numbered nests the only viable nests left to be had, at what point were these nests reduced if at all? Are new people still buying these packs 'Chests' getting viable nests OR is there 0% chance of breeding any rare coats and/or traits? If this is the case then the secondary market has a whole host of 'dud' nests sitting around.
