I've tried to follow the posts about the auto petter. But sorry to me it all boils down to people wanting points for nothing.
Yep I think the choice to pet them and get points or not pet them and not get points is totally reasonable.
I work full time, so I can't handle 100's of meeroos. The members of my fellowship that spend more time in SL gets meeroos with higher regard than mine have. Perfectly natural.
Working has it's perks too, and I hope no one is going to claim it's unfair of me to keep my salary all to myself.
I read up before I joined this game. I liked the lore around it and the way the meeroos seemed to fit into that. This is SL there is a wide variety of things to do. Even a wide variety of animals to breed. Beats me why anyone would get into a game where you have to work for rewards, if they can't or don't want to.
I'm sure the loud group pushing this issue is going to manage to get their demand through. When meeroos stand in line in barns with a little cup in front of them where the treasures they dug up can be collected, maybe they will be satisfied. Provided the price for meeroos stay up so they get payed for the work they don't put in. I'm not gonna say it's about being lazy or wanting something for nothing, but only because that would start a rant worse than mine.
End of my rant. (And btw, I think we should all be entitled to those. At least I don't rant in every post.)
