Having a problem with your meeroos, or meeroo related item? Here's a list of tips that may help (Hopefully I remembered them all)
Meeroos:
If a meeroo is not moving
- Make sure stump isn't set to frozen
- Make sure roo isn't in market mode
- Re-rez the meeroo next to your stump (I always put roos into market mode to remove them from a stump, prior to picking it up..this allows things to reset properly upon re-rez. Just remember to take out of market mode again.)
If all else fails
- REBUILD. Be patient as it can take a little while for the roo to reattach to its stump and regain activity
If you see yellow text
- The meeroo doesn't have a home, re-rez next to an available stump
If a meeroo is not eating
- Make sure there is food nearby. Either owned by you, or set to fellowship. Remember that only fellowship roos may eat out of someone elses fellowship food dish
If a meeroo is not breeding
- Check to see if there is a compatible mate on the same stump with your meeroo (it must list as compatible or it is not) roos set to fellowship do not show as compatible with non fellowship roos. Even if you own both
- Check if the meeroo is elderly or a meepet, neither of these types of meeroos breed
- The roos must be in season in order to mate, sometimes you just have to be patient till they sync up
Nests:
- A nest must be next to a stump you own, in order to be coaxed
- Do not interfere with a nest if it says it's awaiting. Wait patiently for an hour to see if the baby roo gets put inside
If a nest keeps saying no available nearby home
- Try re-rezzing and coaxing it next to a different stump, it sometimes solves the problem
Honey-Dipper:
- Make sure to attach your meeroo to a stump you own before using the dipper
- If you've already used it, and your meeroo is stuck between states (hasn't given you your regard) rerez the meeroo on a stump you own, let it attach, then REBUILD the meeroo
Home Stumps:
If a meeroos name is stuck upon a stump, which the meeroo isn't on anymore
- Put the meeroo into market mode, its name should disappear from all stumps, then take back out of market mode after putting it where it should be
If the above doesn't work
- Re-rez the stump.. this will reset it completely, allowing you to put back on the meeroos that should be on the stump
Baby Meeroos:
- Do not pick up a baby roo until it has loaded it's animations and attached to its stump. You will see a message in local when this happens
General Tips:
- Never unpack an object which doesn't have a normal pointer icon when you mouse over it. Any other symbol could mean the item is scripted and may break if emptied
- All meeroo items will break when emptied
- Every meeroo needs its own mate to breed. If you have 2 girls and 1 boy on a stump, only 1 of those girls may have a baby. The boys can't handle more than one at a time
- Roos on separate stumps can not breed with each other, regardless of owner or settings
- You do not have to pick up a roo every time it asks to be snuggled. Snuggling is purely for show (To snuggle a roo, click the roo, then click attach on your hud)
- Never detach a roo when you're holding them, always always always drop (right click the meeroo and select drop.. you will get this option if your tag is set to the proper land group)
If you try the appropriate actions, and are still having troubles then it's time to contact a CSR or file a ticket. They will always help you, just be patient and understand that they are very busy most of the time.
