Starter Trunk Rares Addressed

Isle Lunasea's picture

I have expressed my dismay and concern many times over the amount of rares (for brevity, let's not argue semantics) in starter trunks, and the effect on the secondary market and small breeders in general.

I am very, very pleased to see this last post from Catherine. It gives me such happiness to know that my hard work and time put into my breeding program is going to be able to eventually see success.

On a personal level, I realize that this announcement solidified the value of my hard-won line of Ambers and Highlands, and I look forward to the next phases of development in breeding these through.

On a general level, I am more than thrilled to know that my friends and fellowship members who are *just* starting to see these results can rest easier in knowing that Malevay *DOES* listen, and there *IS* a future in breeding meeroos.

I know there are still the previously seeded trunk *rares out there, and they will still factor in to an extent, but I know that in a few more weeks, things should hopefully even out, and sierras, autumns and reds will recover some value as solid middle-range level meeroos for this point in time.

I have lost that rock of disappointment that has been in my stomach for weeks, and am for the first time in a while truly pleased with how things are working out.

I have not, since pre-order and release day, ever bought another meeroo from the store, and was trying stubbornly to see how the breeding could progress through only my own hard work... now I feel like I had made the right choice.

I just wanted to say Thank You to Catherine and crew for this development. I look forward to all the other new developments as well.

Voicing concerns and disappointments is important... but giving credit where credit is due is also important.

Good job. I hope it benefits Malevay in the long run, as well as the solid dedicated breeders.

\o/ Yay!
