It's been a rough week in the roo community and tensions are high. We all know this. Now, let's try to let it go ad move forward. Throwing blame around is not going to move us where we need to go.
To those angry at the creators -- Things sometimes don't go as expected. This is a new product and a growing company. Hurling accusation about their motivations will not fix a problem. If it has now been corrected we will see it. If it hasn't we will see it. But there's no need to point and cry foul without giving them a chance to correct what may well have been an unintentional outcome that they have admitted to not anticipating. Tweaks will need to be made to any new product hitting a marketplace. It's inevitable. If you've already made up your minds about them either way, likely it wont change. But expect that all wont have decided in the same way.
If you're upset that big breeders/lottery players have had an upper hand -- Well yes, likely they have. Lets just say it and move past it. Any breeding game game will rely on your stock. If you can afford the most expensive stock, you will likely benefit from that advantage. That can be evened out by other methods. Such as luck. A lucky gene, a lucky throw that can be utilized can really make a difference to a small breeder. If that chance is available to all. We can hope that the changes made will help do that. Time spent in learning how to best breed can also pay off in the long term for a small breeder. Finding what is and isn't effective can make a difference in the long and short term.
If your upset that the forums have been pretty heated this week -- Well yes, they have been. Tempers have been high as many have seen the results from the game taking some very dramatic turns that didn't feel right to a lot of people. They spoke out. Others felt they were wrong or wanted to defend the company. And it has been hotly debated on both sides. It has been very volatile as people sometimes get. It Happens. Let people have a chance to regroup and their calmer sense resume as we see what happens next without throwing things you may not have liked around the forums as accusations. Many postings were meant to call attention to an issue that they felt needed to be addressed. You may call it boasting about starter lottery wins. You may call it attacking the company. You may call it an attitude or defensiveness or any number of less kind adjectives. Many times these posting were met in kind and human nature kicks in and erupts. Breathe. Move on.
Here's hoping for a bright future, continued discovery and understanding, a good game from all perspectives and happy breeding for all.
