Spreadsheet makers, lineage keepers...inquiring minds want to know.

Weird title, didn't know what else to call this, lol.

Was having a discussion with a few friends a little bit ago and wasn't real sure how to answer, as I don't use these.
But, those of you who keep records and didn't create the sheets(or whatever you use) yourself...(or even if you did but can offer advice)

Have you found anything online that would be useful for someone who really isn't too keen on how spreadsheets work, or how best to track lineage without confusing his or herself?
Basically "record keeping for dummies"(and no that's not intended as an insult, I promise, that's what I was asked for and I don't know how to answer, lol, because I don't use them). The spreadsheet option here is awesome, but I can see how it could also be confusing for some people. There's a lot of info stored on it. So I believe they're looking more for something geared towards people who've never used a spreadsheet or anything remotely like it before. That alone can be overwhelming until you get the hang of it.

Something relatively simple that people can just keep (for their own benefit) and input parental data, any and all offspring data, etc... Be it an online form/site they store all the data(obviously I am sure people would prefer a site they don't have to pay for), forms, or anything remotely helpful for organizing the data. But in a way that's easy to read, keep track of, and understand. I don't even know where to begin looking, so I'm asking here instead. I'm sure there are folks here much more used to this sort of thing than I am.
I use my own weird way of keeping records, and it wouldn't make any sense to anyone but me.
