I guess this should be a blog or something but I don't know how to do all that stuff so I'll just list a few things I've noticed and throw out some stuff in my head.
3 weeks ago I'd never heard of a Meeroo, then my friend got a few, now I have 70 something including nests.I've never had breedables before as I'm a 3D artist and frankly the other animals all look terrible, especially the eyes.
I started out with 2 randomly purchased at a sale place, nothing special. When I joined the forum here I found out there was much more to these little guys other than being cute and fluffy.
Experiment 1:
I've been very selective since then about what I buy, I check the parents genetics and only keep 4 to stump with pairs that won't interbreed. So far this has been very sucessfull, my giant Ursines give me giant Ursine nests,my 00 tea cups give me 00 teacup nests, Sierras give me sierra's etc untill yesterday when on their 2nd next my reds gave me a sierra. Not surprising as I knew the male had a Sierra father.
Experiment 2:
On another location I have bought some starter packs, out of 8 pair packs I got a short tailed Ursine and a toy wine coat, the rest were nothing to write home about,I have them coming up to their 3rd nest now and hope to see something new come from them.
I pet my roos a LOT, they usually have 1k regard by the time they have their first nest.
I get lots of treasure! It seems to come shortly after petting. I've reached level 15 and have only released 3 roos.
So...I see a lot of grumbling about various aspects of Meeroo's mostly because people haven't got a rare coat yet and someone else got one in a starter pack. Jealousy is a curse. OK, I went out and bought the coats I like, 5 or 6 k Lindens is nothing in real money, the price of a coffee and a sandwich maybe. If you want it buy it if you can't afford it well, that's life, I cant afford a Highlander and I want one so much BUT remember its just a game. Which bring me to the point of people grumbling about how much they spent and got no return,(which seems to be men mostly for some reason). You expect a return? This is fun, not Wall st. So you spent $100 real money and didn't recoup it, how much did you spend on cigs and beer this week? Did you get that back?
Ideas:
Stump/homes that are mod would be nice, mod just for size or maybe texture. My teacups live on my dining table (where else would you put teacups?) and even the pile of stones is a bit out of place and large. The stone carving one could also use a re tex to suit some environments.
The hud defiantly needs a Fur type added now that the ruffles and manes are out.
These guys are a winner, dog like enough for the cat haters and cat like enough for the dog haters and I wont even go into those bouncing balls that are evidently rabbits. From what I've seen the Customer Service is great( I follow the official service chat group and learned SO much ) although fortunately I haven't had to call on it, those who say otherwise need to take a deep breath and learn patience and that they are not the only person in the world despite what their mother told them.
One minor gripe and that is the Me-Pet thing, it really needs to be addressed as favorite animals begin to reach their end of breeding, I for one certainly won't be releasing my Clovers and it would be nice not to have to feed them.
Ask me again in another 3 weeks :)
