Penny for your thoughts?

Gloomy's picture

I thought I would take to the forum for some possible insight. I know some people keep their tips and tricks close to their chest but I thought I would give it a shot as discussion and kicking around ideas is something I would like to have more of.

My first 'roos are nearing middle age, some are out 4 gen, maybe even 5th by now. I've made a note of who's been producing nicely and who hasn't but I'm stuck in this dilemma.. Should I release these 'roos that are essentially taking up prim space and are somewhat expensive to feed just because they have not done as well as some other? See, I still have wishful thought that MAYBE these 'roos who havent given anything (other than nests set for release) will produce later in life but I'm still not sure if they even hold any special hidden trait. I have had a couple pairings that have done nicely which I intend to keep but these others - I just don't know. Since regard is important and there is not a pet option I've been looking at a few as sacrificial lambs lol

I suppose I'm looking for feed back, theories, anything constructive and helpful. Just to shed some light. Thanks :)
