Now that we are starting to have Meeroos with multiple traits pop out, the old debate about how to count traits is starting to pop up as it does in all breedables.
I guess the first question is does the coat/coat color count as a trait? My thoughts are absolutely not. Some coats/coat colors are more desirable than others, but that doesn't make it a trait.
In my opinion, traits are as follow:
Ears (other than normal)
Eyes (clear)
Head (other than normal)
Tail (other than normal)
Hair (other than Fluff only)
Size (but...this is where it gets sticky for me....what size is *really* a desirable trait?)
So, a triple traited Meeroo...a pine w/ notched ears, short tail, and canine head. We can all agree on that one I think.
However, a red w/ notched ears, short tail, and canine head. Some will say that has four traits because of the red coat. I think that's where issues come in. Its still a three traited Meeroo. Yes, a more valuable three traited Meeroo because of the coat, but still three traits.
Anyone have any other ideas?
