SUGGESTION - for making player regard more fair....

StarSong Bright's picture

For some of us, who are able to be on SL all the time we want the current four hour wait for player regard points is ok. That said, there are MANY players with full time jobs, full time lives etc, who cannot get in to SL on nice neat four hour schedules, and this system penalizes them. I would like to see an overhaul to the system to make it fairer for all players, regardless of how much time they are able to spend in game.

It is currently possible to get a max of 600 points per day - theoretically of course since MOST people dont log in every four hours for points. Instead of the 10 pets per time, I would like to see 5 points per critter petted, with a 600 points per day cap (midnight slt to midnight slt). With perhaps 10 points for meeroos wearing your fellowship tag, to encourage people to pet inside their fellowships.

I think this would be waaaay waaaay fairer for people who can only log into SL an hour or two because of RL, it would give more incentive for everyone to pet meeroos, both inside and outside their fellowship. Many new players see that you cant pet for X number of mins, and think there is no point to petting anymore, which isnt the case from the meeroo's pov, since they still get their regard once an hour.

I got to thinking about this when looking through the leader board, it's pretty easy to tell who has too much time on their hands LOL, but it also made me feel bad for those who cant camp in sl and pet meeroos all day to gain player points. All those folks with all that time can game the system, I dont see how this change would do much to them, but I think it would allow those with limited time on their hands to make real contributions to their fellowships and to their own personal regard points.

I do hope the creators will consider this change for the sake of everyone!
