I don't think people need an easy button in this. If you are a serious breeder or want to do the job right, you will find a way to keep track yourself.

Period.

I don't need the "Too Soon" changed on the HUD, or the website/spreadsheet.

Breeding should take a bit of work. A bit of figuring out how to do it, without a "How to breed" manual from Malevay, or giving the hour and minute until fertility is good for involvement in the process.

Planning, observation and backup plans, they all work just fine.

i get sick of having to click every meeroo on a stump, to find what they are . so my idea is wouldnt it be nice if u could click the stump, and when the menu pops up theres a button to get all the names of your roos and there stats ? instead of having to hold the left mouse button down on every roo to see what they are..

whats your thoughts about this idea ?

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

This is probably an idiotic question, but is there a way that I can see my Meeroos listing when I am away from the machine that is running SL. I can't seem to find my list without spawning it from the HUD.

Forgive me if this has been asked a million times.

Don't get me wrong, I love the spreadsheet! I use it to see if I've had nests while I'm at work. ;)

But, I'd love to have two columns added: one listing the current breeding status of the roo, and one listing either the date/time the roo last bred or the date/time it is eligble to breed again.

This shouldn't be too difficult to add since the data is already in the database, it just needs to be added to the spreadsheet.

If it can't be done now, then maybe when the content goes to premium? I'd definately pay for this information.

OK Lets make this simple. No drawn out posts here just simple assessment so we can see how people feel at this point in the game. Lets give a grade and see where people are. Copy/paste the categories and add your grades if you want. Simple and clean.

last night

last night one of my roos dug up a rusty old safe..

when i opened it it was full of gold coins and jewled crowns and little black velvet bags tied with string that were full of sparkiling diamonds,,

then i woke up..lol

so i logged in and lo and behold there was a rotten bannana waiting for me

i have enough broken pipes to open a chain of second hand pipe stores,,

are there any plans for the roos to find more cool stuff,,

maybe very rare items worth a lot,,

or some rare things that you actulay get as an inworld object,,

the possabiltys are endless,,

So what I am doing is gen breeding, and eliminating the strongest dominant coats which seem to be Whine and Fawn, as I go down gen by gen, the less likely they are to appear, not to mention when breeding the same gens together, I make sure that I don't use a Whine nor Fawn, and will eventually not use an Ursine either. I am currently breeding my 5th gens, I think I have 13, and only 3 are whine coats, the rest are Ursines, Autumns, Reds, and Sierra's.
The coat theory by Angelina is a good theory, if it is correct, this means Fawns and Whines are dominant, and so for an example if you breed a Red with a Whine, you might end up with a whine, then again it depends on the mendels law also on the Dominant/Recessive that is going on in the background. Hopefully when I start with my 6th gen nest, I hope to have nothing but Autumn's and Sierra's and Reds, which seem to be grouped together, and throw each other's coat off. If I had enough roos I would breed my 6th gens like this.

Red/Red Red/Autumn Red/ Sierra
Sierra/Sierra Sierra/Red Sierra/Autumn
Autumn/Autumn Autumn/Red Autumn/Sierra

Anyways, I don't have enough Reds, Autumns, or Sierra's to do this with my 5th gens, I think ill let me 5th gens breed 4 or 5 times each and then I might have enough, and hopefully the ursine coats don't dominate the reds/autumns/sierra's and neither do the whines, and if they do I wont use them for my 6th breeding, I will put them ina home with other whines, and ursines.

Hopefully this techique works, its worth a short, nothing else has gave me a Koi lol..... Anyways, if you have a good breeding strategy, be kind and list it.

How do you breed, and is it working for you?
