This is my first post here after two months of lurking in these forums and breeding my own Meeroos. What I am about to describe below is a THEORY of mine, just a theory. I'm not making bold statements about how things work, I'm not saying you should all take what I describe as the actual truth, it's just a guess, a supposition, a theory. It is based on statements from Malevay Studios staff to be found throughout this site and from the observed breeding results of myself and others to date.

I still have to examine the line and try to figure out how I got it, and I'll happily do that!

I'm moving homes and I need to do some serious culling in order to fit on the new (smaller) prim limit. I think these two got scared and popped out something cool so I don't vote them off the island. It worked!

There was a articular wrote about how complex the breeding and what Genetic codes that the meeroos use. I can't remember what it was called, but that had a Google page to go to and see how complex it really is. If any one can help me or could paste a link to the articular, Please help me some one I know is waiting to know how it all works.

I see so-called 'pure' traits advertised as being worth more on the secondary market. A sierra from two sierra parents and all sierra grandparents.

I can see that IF you just want a series of Sierra that this might have some value.

However if a trait is made up of a number of alleles then doesn't breeded a 'pure' trait pretty much eliminate alleles that might be combined later for more rare traits?

Doesn't 'purity' limit the following generations evolution?

I've yet to buy into this.

Debating it (I've been critical of breedables, but softening after having some of the more modern ones show up on my sim and not yet taking the lag hit I used to in years past), and wondering about the notice that new starter packs will never have rares now.

so,,,bought a bunch of nests

one pair...,, call them A&B

gave C1 C2 C3 C4 C5 C6 C7

C1 gave C1A

C2 gave C2A

C3 gave C3A

ETC

anyway.. nothing much except..C1A that i put back with C3

first two nests,, koi giant and koi giant 14

so i was kinda thinking,,,well guessing thta the first pair, one of them had a koi gene? which passed to C1 and then C1A

when i put C3 with C1A ,, they both had a koi gene eAch so a koi..

plus the original pair throw about 95% gaints and giants 14,,and so do their offspring

I'm puzzled by the fact that all my nests within the last week or so have been mischievous and shy temperament. It makes it very difficult for breeding as these two do not work together. about 90% of the nests I have to work with right now are one or the other.

Anyone have an idea how I can get some other personalities out of my 'roos?

Has anyone found a prism baby yet?

not a clover but one from the prism line, (same line the clovers come from)?

ok i came up with a theory and im wondering if anyone has tried this so i can get some take back on the situation
ok so this theory is mainly focused on cross breeding non traited meeroos whoses parents where the initial carriers of the traits

Meeroo A - Non Traited Autumn
Meeroo B - Short Eared Autumn
Meeroo C - Offspring of Autumns A and B non Short eared Autumn
Meeroo D - Sierra Short tail
Meeroo E - Offspring of C and D Autumn normal hidden carrier of short tail and short ear
