for anyone brave enough to answer, willing to share some laughs and spread some knowledge as well as have a good time in this thread, how are you planing on adapting the le's into your roo family? :)

Vivid Eye

Well I have noticed there seems to be a few us of trying for that elusive "VIVID EYE " is anyone willing to share their ideas or is everyone keeping what they are doing under wraps??

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

Now I know I am not the only who has noticed this but does anyone have any idea why it happens? this week 99% of my nests have been males, very frustating where you are needing a female for a specific breeding plan!! Do you think this is just a random thing or something that has been put into play to encourage us to swap nests with each for example some of us may be getting all females this week and others all males

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

Hi everyone.

I am looking for advice on breeding a Koi Offspring nest.

I recently was lucky enough that a friend of mine allowed me to borrow his Koi female to breed with my Ursine male.

The resulting nest was a Fawn coat.

I have no Koi's or offspring or anything with Koi anywhere in the lineage and am trying to find the best way to possibly bring this coat out of the Koi Offspring in future nests.

I do not have the funds to go and purchase a Koi meeroo or even a Koi offspring and so am looking for ideas that have worked for others in bringing the coat out.

Just like the eyes, I have a theory that other genetics such as coats are passed through the female as well. Has anyone else seen this in their herd?

The boy may keep the nest but all the fun stuff is passed maternally - or maybe I just like to think Meeroos live in a matriarchal society lol.

I posted in another thread about some of the terms used in the secondary market, that could be considered misleading to less informed players and that we could compile a glossary of terms. As the thread was not about this I thought it unfair to hijack it further, so I am starting this thread. I know it is not strictly genetics but there is no other place for it to go. Sylvana said she did a knowledge thread for her last breedable so I thought it could be included here too.

let me start by saying I do not want to appear knowing all about meeroos. But.. I think I do know some things, and will write it down! Its a sort of Q&A thing

1; I bought a starterpack, and got an Ursine! Is that rare?
-- first; the word "rare"is a bit difficoult..what is rare. People often want to see we use "common"and "uncommon"

Power of 3

my latest theory, instead of it bing 2, ie: dom and recc, im now leaning to 3.

why?

look at the eyes once again. what are the 3 main colors?

flare
capri
irish

they make a pyramid of basic colors. check out the traits.. ears and tails.. they always carry what ever dom eye color you have in your lot.. (i have only compared this with 3 other people with short shorts fi its not working for you, say so) and im leaning on coat theory as:

moms coat
dads coat
babys coat

3 choices again..

ideas?
