A place to discuss the genetics of meeroos.
For the past few weeks I've been seeing two clear patterns in nest production and the breeding population.
First, the nest production pattern. Current nest production seems to be dominated by the Dryads. To me, it clearly shows that some Personality types are more common, and others less so, when taken from Starters. The pattern, of course, is also strongly effected by the fact that each Personality can mate with two other Personalities. The pattern is almost a straight line, sloping down to the right:

Hi,
I have been told that you not can breed Meeroos in the same family but yet you can linebreed, so it is a bit confusing.
I guess it means I cannot breed a father with his daugther then or?
Thank you in advance :)

I have two family groups that I've line bred probably to the point where all they do is produce females - perhaps a bit to inbred. It's kind of maddening because I can't progress my line at this point, I literally have couples who have just daughters their entire breeding lives.

I know this isn't new but I had to admit it was funny when I first saw it.
My Dune and Terracotta made a Western Desert, which is odd enough in the sense of a general initial reaction of "where in the heck did that come from?"
But this is funny because that Tribal does look rather guilty... hahah

Not sure if this was clearly already talked about before, but leaving aside how they pass the sizes, I still see something that I don't think is a coincidence, or pleasing the customer fact.
Sizes differ in only 2 basic sizes. Why? Why not in all? Why just in those two (teacup & giant)?
Things like that make me wonder and i try to find a reason for it. Knowing that the Meeroo-Creators are puzzle-lovers, I would guess something is hinting there.

Hi y'all
I was hoping for some advice in choosing some breeding partners
I have a Jubilee, and a Zulu, both males
Was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on choosing a partner for them
I have a nile painted couple which I don't really want to split up yet, and my only other good coats are koi, emperor and snowpaw.
I also have all the more common coats; wine, fawn, ursine, red, autumn, amber, highland, caledonian, cinders and loch.
At this point, as I only have one of each, I am planning on backbreeding and then cross breeding the OS of the OS.

Nest production follows a regular pattern.
See graphic for a typical day.
Not surprisingly, there is a significant spike immediately following the Season change at 9PM SLT.
This spike is unfortunate for two reasons:
* It places the bulk of Nest production squarely in the typical Maintenance Window.
* It skews load upon the Mothership. Nearly 50% of all Nests produced during the day will appear between 9PM and 12AM.

So I got this nest today, its not as special as some of the awesome epic roos I see here; but its's my first multitraited roo, and was a lovely surprise so thought would share :)
He is a red fluff & Chest with SUE and Glacier Clear eyes (my fav eyes too)
Here is his link if anyone is interested in how I finally achieved this :)
