I was gifted a lovely pair of Koi/Fluff line OS, both wine coats with non-Koi parents, the male with the Fluff visible and the female without it. They've got some closeish related (niece or some such) fellows that are awesome - emp fluff that had an azure baby, etc. They've given me 2 or 3 direct fluffy babies and no koi. A few of the OS I've traded to other people trying to bring koi fluff out in their lines, and they've bred them for the koi and not the fluff and managed to get the koi to pop back up again.

Got my first long mane today, very unexpected especially since it came from a Koi.

I have these two Kabuki OS and I'm just wondering if I should back breed them or not? They haven't given their first nest yet, so I have time to decide. But I am wondering what would direction I should go with them. I haven't been very successful when it comes to breeding, and I bought these OS in hopes of getting some better coats. Is it best to let OS breed out or bring their Grabdkids back up to them? This is My first attempt at breeding two OS and I would appreciate any input or suggestions. Thanks.

I've noticed a big increase in the number of posts asking if folks should pair A with B.
Why? Just do it! The first thought that runs through my head is "Why wouldn't you try A and B?" Maybe it's because I've kinda gotten restless that I've become more "oh what the heck"; frankly I wish I had been more like this nearly six months ago! hehe
Hi all,
I am fairly new to this, having started about 4 weeks ago with some friends help. I'm building up my stock mainly by same coat or trait pairing but also by auctions etc.
I'm wondering whether to try a Painted with a Kabuki.

Painted has Painted Parents, Snowpaw/Zulu and Painted/Dune Grands.

My friend Tonks was going through her photographs and we were speculating if this is the undiscovered ear?
http://www.flickr.com/photos/esthaphoto/6311723508/
Photo was taken of the display/decorations at Twas... and these lil ears were hidden in there... a while back. She said it was there before button/tigers were discovered, so she wasn't surprised when those did come out.
Just tossing it up for speculation :D

I was finally able to afford a pair of nests with Sakura genes in them, and am practically vibrating while waiting the 5 days to see if they start producing fun things.
To me, this is the most fun part of the game, putting together likely pairs towards a goal and seeing if it works out.
While the market crash has been pretty bad in most aspects. I am so, so happy that a lowly newbie breeder like myself can finally have a shot at a pair of descendant nests. A silver lining I guess?
